concrete develops concepts.
we develop them in architecture, interior design, urban development and brand development.
concrete unites people.
we work with a team of 46 multidisciplinary creatives as architects, interior designers and visual marketeers to help businesses and institutions.
concrete loves provoking, confusing, philosophizing, scale models, haute cuisine, burgers, and (most of all) shattering dogmas.
concrete provides solutions.
no grand theories or abstract ideas. just things that work.
concrete likes to let the work do the talking.
Nomads restaurant brings together East and West
by combining Western materials with Oriental
cultural traditions. Nomads has three sections:
Bahoe, a living area for receiving guests without
disturbing others in the house, serves as the bar
area. The most striking element is the large liquor
cabinet, made entirely of tinted glass;
Al‘ Kubbah, six intimate alcoves where guests can
separate into small groups. Arab cultures form the
inspiration for the furnishings: large white divans
decorated with colourful Kilim rugs by fabric designer
Barbara Broekman. The walls are panelled with red
mirrors on which an eighty-century Arabic poem by
the poet Majnun has been sandblasted. The food
is served on copper trays and placed on low tables
between the sofas; Wast ad-dar, the heart of an
Arabic house and the hub of its social life. This is the
dance area. In the middle is a structure reminiscent
of a carousel, with golden domes and sofas covered
with Kilims along the walls.
